The founder of Northumbrian Quality Meats, Steve Ramshaw is committed to all aspects of his farm and meat sales business. Steve is a dedicated conservationist, and Monkridge Hill Farm is managed with the conservation of wildlife and natural habitat as a priority. Over recent years, many conservation schemes have been adopted and managed on the farm such as the Northumbrian Rivers Project and the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
Our concerns and dedication regarding the environment and local conservation issues is reflected by pledging 10% of all profits from direct meat sales will be ploughed back into conservation projects throughout the farm.
To date this has included numerous native tree planting sites, the establishment of a pond, and wildlife encouraging enhancements to the local riverside.
Thanks to the implementation of a comprehensive system data base, every product from Northumbrian Quality Meats comes with its own unique product code. This code guarantees complete traceability throughout the entire production system.
The system was implemented to allow complete peace of mind to you the consumer, who can rest assured that every step of the production process has been detailed and recorded to ensure the absolute quality and integrity of the product.
